How does the reverse auction work?
When you post a junk removal job, local verified junk removal companies review your photos and description. They submit competing bids during your set auction window. As companies underbid each other, the price goes down. When the clock hits zero, the lowest bid wins automatically.
When and how do I pay?
You pay after the job is completed at your location! Payments are processed securely via Stripe using Tap to Pay (contactless card/phone tap on the worker's device) or online card checkout.
Can I cancel a job after posting?
Yes, you can cancel an open job anytime before the auction closes. If an auction has already ended and a company has been assigned, please contact the company or Support as soon as possible.
Are the haulers licensed and background-checked?
Every junk removal company on JunkRemovalBid undergoes an administrative review before being approved to bid. You can view company profile reviews, star ratings, and completed job counts before work begins.

How do I get paid for completed jobs?
JunkRemovalBid uses Stripe Connect Express. During onboarding, you connect your business bank account or debit card once. When a job is completed and paid, 90% of the funds are deposited directly into your bank account on a 2-day rolling schedule (or instant debit transfer), while our 10% platform fee is retained.
How does Tap to Pay work on site?
Open the assigned job on the JunkRemovalBid Mobile App and tap 'Collect Payment'. The app uses your iPhone or Android phone's built-in NFC chip as a card reader. The customer taps their credit/debit card or Apple/Google Pay against the back of your phone, and the payment is processed instantly.
Are my bids binding?
Yes. All bids placed in an active reverse auction are binding commitments to complete the work as described for that price. Only bid on jobs you can complete within your service area.
What if I collect payment before connecting my bank account?
No problem! Customer payments land safely in our master platform account. Your earnings will stay queued as 'Pending Payout' until you tap 'Set Up Direct Deposit Payouts' in your Profile. Once connected, Stripe automatically sweeps all your accumulated job earnings directly into your bank account.
How are 1099-K taxes handled at year-end?
Stripe Connect Express automatically tracks your gross earnings and generates/delivers official 1099-K tax documents at the end of each tax year. You can view your tax forms anytime in your Stripe Express portal.
